petitioning for a new erepublik country

I'm pretty new to the eRepublik scene, is there a way to petition the admins for a new country?

If you browse the eRep forums a bit, you'll see the majority of the suggestions in post form.
I don't really know how seriously the admins take them, but people try anyway.
We (meaning those who were involved in the eJamaica 1st push) liked the newspaper article route (ie. trying to get as many votes as possible to show the admins that people would live in / or at least support the addition of eJamaica).

Basically, the ways are limited (mostly) to newspapers, ads, suggestions and forum posts. Though I'm sure if you somehow managed to get some RL media coverage on what you were pushing for, they'd definitely take that into consideration.

What about a eCaribbean push?

Originally, back when I was a newbie, I was considering that (eCaribbean).
It IS a good idea, and one of my first eRep forum posts was actually regarding that very same thing.

However, after a few people started nay saying, I decided to see if I could get the ruling on that from the top.
I sent in a ticket to talk to the admins and they told me that they only ever intend to add countries and not regions.
So, I was pretty much forced to drop that idea since it was never going to happen according to the admins.
Needless to say, as an advocate of the Caribbean Community truly becoming a single market economy in RL (it is slowly on its way), I was disappointed.


My real problem is where and how to start.
I don't have any Moguls who would support me and I only have a very small pool of readers (floats between 240-260). And for the most part, the eRep forums are a mess unless you can get one or two of the forum kings (Emerick, AgentChieftain, etc.) to support the cause.

At most, I'm a good writer. I'm not really a charismatic leader. Which is why I tried getting all of the Caribbean (and eCaribbean) folks here. We could support each other and push the respective campaigns hard. To date, though, only a few (as you can see) have signed up. Which means that this forum is nearly dead in the water.

Well, not really Harrilal. We can use it as a base of operations where we can connect and leave messages for each other that can be read at that person's convenience.

I have to admit, I have been busy with a few things, so I have put this on the back burner for a while.
Currently, I am in Congress and I am also an Officer in my eCountry's Armed Forces. I am also an Ambassador to a couple of places, so I have been guilty of not devoting as much time as I should to this. But, as long as we may speak from time to time, then the campaigns are not really dead. In the future, I will be able to do some more, I can guarantee that.
